Crazy weekend for slovenian drivers in Italy

What a crazy conditions had drivers this weekend on 21. Prealpi Master Show. Already yesterday on shakedown was a lot of water on road and also today conditions wasn’t better after a lot of rain.

But still 3/5 slovenian crews finished on podium! Unfortunately crew Janko Čebron – Andrej Kavčič retired due technical issue on their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX. In the same car was more successful crew Darko Peljhan – Matej Čar, who was also on lead in N4 class, but on third stage lost more than forty minutes and fell on P3.

Third finished also crew Rok Jerkič – Marko Stopar, who first time drove Ford Fiesta R2T19. They had really strong competition with 33 other drivers in class R2B.

Less competitiors was in class R3C, where competed crew Martin Štucin – Gregor Maver in Renault Clio R3. With first time on gravel surface they made great results and finished second in class.

The higher in overall classification finished crew Aljoša Novak – Jaka Cevc in Škoda Fabia R5. They finished on P18 overall and on P16 in R5 class, where just 2/41 crews didn’t finished rally. Novak finished also seventh in Raceday Rally Terra, where won Alessandro Bettega in the same car as Novak.
Bettega finished also third in overall classification, just 1.4 second behind Edoardo Bresolin (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) and 13.7 seconds more behind Simone Tempestini (Hyundai i20 R5).
