Ott Tanak and Martin Jarveoja took all posible points on 69. Neste Rally Finland this weekend. They won in overall classification and also on power stage, where they were faster than Neuville – Gilsoul (+0.7), Mikkelsen – Jaeger (+2.4), Ogier – Ingrassia (+2.9) and Latvala – Anttila (+3.5).
Tanak from Toyota won ahead two finnish drivers. Lappi (Citroen) step up on podium as second after sixt events, Latvala (Toyota) as third on podium after eight events! Tanak’s win is also special because he is one of two non-finnish drivers who won more than once on this event.
Less succesful weekend had drivers from Hyundai Motorsport, but still got important points for championship. Mikkelsen canceled his bad luck on this event with fourth place overall, just 2.7 seconds ahead Ogier (Citroen) on P5. Breen had good start, but he needed more kilometers in this car. On finish he was late in time control to give Neuville important points for championship standings. Neuville finished on sixth place overall.
Weekend to forget had M-Sport, who lost his driver Evans before event due medical reasons. Greensmith got his second chance in Fiesta WRC and he was on P9 before he had accident on SS21. Suninen again didn’t showed his speed on his home event, where he finished on P8.
Kalle Rovanpera was totally oposite as other home runners. He dominated on all stages in WRC2 Pro section and won with more than two minutes ahead other drivers in RC2 class. First win in WRC2 got Nikolay Gryazin, who almost finished event on SS3, but won with fourteen seconds ahead Jari Huttunen and two minutes ahead Johan Kristoffersson.
In JWRC section won Kristensson ahead Solans (+1:28.0) and Poom (+11:54.8).
