All leaders lost win on the last stage

What a battle on 62. CORSICA Linea Tour de Corse this weekend as fourth event in World Rally Championship! It was close battle on the last few stages in almost all sections.

But this won’t be able if Tanak won’t get puncture on SS11, where he lost battle with Evans and fell on P6 overall. Than was battle between Evans and Neuville, but puncture on Evans’s Ford Fiesta WRC dropped him on third place overall. Neuville (Hyundai) took his first WRC win this season. Second finished Ogier from Citroen. On this event all manufacturer drivers finished, but some of them far aways from podium. Loeb made mistake already on first stage, Meeke also got puncture on SS1 but than damaged rear suspension on SS5. Latvala changed wheel twice on this event.

Surprise was in WRC2 section, where nobody of french drivers finished on top places. Bonato (Citroen C5) retired on SS8 and than also Camilli (VW Polo) retired on SS12 due fire on his car. All drivers with Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 retired, just Kajetanowicz finished on his first podium in WRC2. Andolfi had half of minute lead before last two stages, but Gryazin made a great time on SS13 and overtook him. But Andolfi proved his great driving of whole weekend on Powerstage and won in WRC2 with 3.9 seconds ahead Gryazin.

Soland won seven stages in JWRC, but because of puncture on SS2, he couldn’t be better than fourth. Whole event after Solans’s puncture was on lead Kristensson, but Tannert was really fast right on last stage and won in JWRC with 1.9 second ahead Kristensson. Third finished Radstrom (+25.8 seconds behind winner).

Just two drivers started in WRC2 Pro, but Rovanpera have to retired due damaged car, so Pieniažek finished his third event with Rally2 rule and got important points for championship standings.

Brazzoli (Abarth) won in RGT Cup ahead Nešetril (Porsche) and Sassi (Abarth).
