Zanon is AART champion when in AARC is battle still open

On last weekend was last event in austrian national rally championship, where Niki Mayr-Melnhof, as champion in this season, wasn’t present. But on Niederosterreich Rallye were present crews from Alpe Adria Rally Cup and Trophy, where we got new champion.

Bernd Zanon became champion in Trophy section ahead Daniel Fischer, who bought new car (Subaru Impreza STi N15) before this event and Gerald Rigler in Ford Fiesta R5. Second place is still open, just four points are between Fischer and Rigler.

Battle is still open also in overall classification of Alpe Adria Rally Cup. Michael Kogler won in this section on Niederosterreich Rallye but it still isn’t enough for title. Second is Simone Boscariol in the same car (Citroen DS3 R3T) who will try to get title on last event – Herbst Rallye Dobersberg (19. – 20.10.2018 in Austria).

Overall win on Niederosterreich Rallye went into Czech Republic, from where is crew Jaroslav Orsak – Ondrej Krajča. They win in Ford Fiesta R5 with 5.3 seconds ahead crew Baumschlager – Winklofer (Škoda Fabia R5). Third crew Keferbock – Minor finished almost three minutes behind but it was still enough to finish on second place in overall standings of austrian rally championship. They beat crew Aigner – Hubler who finished just about twenty seconds behind on this event.

Champion became also Luca Waldherr (Opel Adam R2) in ORM 2WD section, just three points ahead Christoph Zellhofer in Suzuki Swift S1600. In other side Zellfhofer won in junior classification with just one point ahead Waldherr.
