After beeing champion in ADAC Opel Rallye Cup, ERC3 and ERC junior championships, Emil Bergkvist became also JWRC champion on Rallye Turkey Marmaris. He was in battle with Denis Radstrom, who was second in this event and finished also second in championship. Bergkist has still chances to become also WRC3 champion if he will drive on next events.
Overall win went into Tanak’s hands, which is his fourth win in this season. Second finished his Toyota’s team mate Latvala. On third place finished Paddon, who was the best from Hyundai team. Second best from Hyundai was Mikkelsen, who finished on P5, behind Suninen from M-Sport. This five drivers are the only ones who finished event in top 10 without Super Rally rule.
Ogier got one point for P10, which one gave it Evans, who got team orders to be late in time control. Ogier got also four points from Power Stage, where he was second. The fastest on Power Stage was Neuville, so both got five points from this event.
Really strong performance showed Henning Solberg in Škoda Fabia R5. He finished on high P6, but he didn’t drive in WRC2 section, where win went into Kopecky’s hands. Kopecky finished on P7 overall and this is his fifth win in WRC2 championship this season.
In top 10 places finished also Tempestini (P8) and Ingram (P9). For both is this best WRC result in thei career.
