This weekend was also fourth event for italian WRC championship. Win on Rally del Friuli Venezia Giulia went into Stefano Albertini’s hands in Ford Fiesta RS WRC as his third win in this season.
Second finished Corrado Fontana in Hyundai NG i20 WRC with 15.9 seconds behind winner.
More exiting was battle for third place between three drivers. Last stage decided that Manuel Sossella (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) finished as third on this event just 0.6 second ahead Luca Rosetti (Hyundai i20 R5) and Paolo Porro (Ford Fiesta RS WRC). Rossetti could be third if didn’t get penalty for jump start on third stage.
Interesting was also in historic section, where win went into french hands. Crew “Lucky” – Fabrizia Pons in Lancia Delta Integrale 16V had half of minute lead before SS5, where they lost almost two minutes. Then they won two more stages and finished 43.5 seconds behind crew Valliccioni – Cardi in BMW M3 E30, who didn’t won any stage on this event, but became winners with clever racing. Third finished crew Marcori – Neri in Porsche 911 SC.
