Bjork and Volvo are champions!

When Citroen nad Lada announced leaving out from World Touring Car Championship many fans thought that this is the end of championship.

But season 2017 wasn’t boring at all – there was stayed Volvo and Honda with manufacturer teams and many private teams. It was close fight between Volvo and Honda, but Honda had some unluck this year. First at all was injury of Tiago Monteiro who had to missed on last four events. Second was disqualifing all Honda cars from event in China.

Thed Bjork (Volvo) was 6.5 points ahead Norbert Michelisz (Honda) before last event, but Michelisz had brake issue in qualifying round and hadn’t any chances for be quicker than Bjork on two races this weeekend in Qatar.
So Bjork finished races with safe driving and got first World Touring Car Championship title. The same is with Volvo team – they finished 28.5 points ahead Honda. Volvo had help also with ex champion Yvan Muller, who returned in championship just for last race.
