We still didn’t get official final results from 10. Rally Jahorina 2016, which was the last event for BIH rally championship and cup. Event counted also for Central European Championship, so there were present also crews from other countries.
There was present Karl Rumler (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) from Austria, some serbian and slovenian crews with Nihad Alić (VW Polo), Anton Sitar (Renault Clio) and Rok Turk (Peugeot 208 R2). There was first time also Antal Kovacs from Hungary with Ford Fiesta R5.
Kovacs had hard battle with Turk, who won also one stage and made new record on SS Trebević:
But this wasn’t first time that they had fight together. Turk won on Rally Opatija 2013, with 3,1 seconds ahead Kovacs, who was competing with Mitusbishi Lancer Evo VI.
Kovacs had this time car with more HP and won event with 13 seconds ahead Turk.
Third was home driver Đani Đelmo with Renault Clio, more than three minutes behind Turk.
It was nice event without any big accidents, but roads were still hard and interesting for racing:
